Work at a company that has been here since 2007

TetraHost has kept Bangladeshi businesses online for nineteen years from an office in Banani. If you like solving real problems for people who notice, we would like to hear from you.

What this place actually is

We are a hosting company, not a startup. That means the work is steady and the stakes are concrete: when a server has a problem, somebody's business is offline until it is fixed. People notice, and they say so.

We host more than 10,000 domains across servers in Bangladesh, the USA, Singapore and Germany. The support desk runs 24 hours a day, staffed by engineers rather than a call center, and the average first reply is about ten minutes. Holding that standard is most of what we do.

The team is small enough that your work is visible. Nobody here is three layers from the customer.

How we hire

We do not run a filtering machine. Send a short note about something you built, broke, or fixed, and a person will read it. If it is interesting we will talk — usually a conversation about real problems rather than a whiteboard exercise.

The practicalities

  • Office in Banani, Dhaka
  • Support roles work shifts, including nights
  • Small team, direct responsibility
  • Learning budget for certifications
  • We hire on ability, not degree
  • Applications read by a person, always answered

Roles

What we hire for

These are the shapes of role that come up. If yours is not listed but you think you would be useful here, write anyway.

Support engineers

The desk answers in about ten minutes, at any hour. That only works with people who can diagnose a real problem, not read a script.

Systems administrators

Linux, cPanel, WHM, CloudLinux. Keeping servers in four countries fast, patched and online.

Developers

Internal tooling, automation, and the Android application work we do for clients.

Sales & accounts

Talking to Bangladeshi businesses about what they actually need — including telling them when they need less than they asked for.

How we work

Four things we care about

We answer

Ten minutes is the standard, not the aspiration. It is the thing customers mention most.

We do not overpromise

If a plan will not do the job, we say so before the sale rather than after.

We stay

Nineteen years in this market. Long relationships with customers, and with staff.

We fix root causes

Restarting a service is not a fix. Finding out why it stopped is.

FAQ

Questions about working here

Do you have openings right now?

Openings are not always advertised. We hire when the right person appears, so a good speculative application is genuinely read rather than filed.

Do I need a computer science degree?

No. We care what you can do. Several of our team came through self-teaching, support roles or freelancing rather than a formal degree.

Is the work remote?

Our office is in Banani, Dhaka, and most roles are based there. The support desk runs shifts around the clock, which some people prefer and others do not — we are upfront about it.

What should I send?

A short note explaining what you have actually built or fixed, and anything that shows it: a GitHub profile, a site you run, a description of a problem you solved. A long CV with no evidence tells us less.

Do you take interns?

Occasionally, when someone can commit real hours and there is a person free to mentor properly. We would rather take one intern seriously than five as decoration.

Tell us what you can do

No openings advertised does not mean no openings. A good speculative application is always read.
