This policy covers www.tetrahostbd.com. Our billing system at manage.tetrahostbd.com is a separate application and sets its own cookies, which are described within it.
The short version
This website sets very few cookies. We run no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share browsing data with advertisers. What we do set is either needed for a feature you used, or used to understand which pages are useful.
One thing worth flagging up front: while a support agent is signed in to our live chat, the chat system records visitors' IP addresses and the pages they view, so an agent can offer help. It is switched off when no agent is available and the records are deleted after 24 hours — see Live chat and visitor presence below. We also keep a plain daily count of visits, described under Counting visits. We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets a site remember something between page loads — that you dismissed a banner, for example, or that you are in the middle of a chat conversation.

These use your browser's local or session storage rather than traditional cookies. The effect is the same, and we describe them here for completeness.
Live chat and visitor presence
While one of our support agents is signed in to the live chat console, the chat system records the IP address, the page being viewed and the site you arrived from for people browsing tetrahostbd.com. This lets an agent see that someone is on the site and offer help, and gives them useful context if you start a conversation. The IP address is sent to a third-party lookup service, which returns an approximate city and network operator.
Nothing is recorded when no agent is signed in, and these records are deleted automatically after 24 hours. An agent may send you an invitation to chat; you can decline it, and declining stops any further invitation for that visit. We never open a chat window without your consent. Third parties
Our contact page embeds a Google Map. Google may set cookies when that map loads, governed by Google's own privacy policy rather than ours. The map loads lazily, so if you never scroll to it, nothing is requested.
Counting visits
We keep a simple daily tally of how many people visited the site and how many pages were read, so we know whether the site is being used. It is a number against a date — 3 September: 137 visitors — and nothing more. No addresses are stored with it, no pages, no record of who anyone is or what they looked at. The tally cannot be traced back to an individual visit.
To avoid counting the same person twice in one day, your browser holds a random reference for the length of your visit. It contains no personal information, and our copy of it is deleted after 48 hours.
This is not Google Analytics or any other third-party service — the counting happens on our own server and the numbers are never shared. Beyond the map on the contact page, this site loads no external scripts: no advertising networks, no social media pixels, no cross-site tracking of any kind. Fonts and images are served from our own servers.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking storage for this site will not break browsing; the offer bar may reappear and an in-progress chat may not resume.
