Cloud addresses, not yours
Outbound mail leaves on MailChannels’ own pool of reputation-managed cloud addresses, maintained across a very large volume of legitimate mail.
Abuse filtered in transit
The relay inspects traffic passing through it and stops abuse before it can damage the reputation everyone shares. Ordinary business mail is not tarred by somebody else’s behaviour.

No setup, no configuration, no extra invoice. It is switched on for every hosting and reseller account from the moment it is created.

Is MailChannels included, or an add-on?
It is included at no extra cost with every shared hosting and reseller hosting plan. There is nothing to buy, enable or configure — outbound mail from your accounts is relayed automatically.
Can I have it on a VPS or dedicated server?
Yes. It is not switched on by default there, because you control the mail configuration on your own server, but we can set it up for you. Open a ticket and ask.
Why does business email end up in spam?
On ordinary shared hosting your mail leaves from an address shared with every other site on that server. If any of them sends something careless, the address earns a poor reputation and everyone's mail suffers. That is the single most common reason a small business finds its invoices in the spam folder.
What does a relay actually change?
Your mail leaves the relay's own pool of reputation-managed cloud addresses instead of the server it happens to be hosted on. The relay watches the traffic passing through it and filters abuse before it can damage that reputation, so ordinary business mail is not tarred by somebody else's behaviour.
Do I still need SPF and DKIM?
Yes, and they matter. A relay improves the reputation your mail is judged on; SPF and DKIM prove the mail is genuinely yours. We configure both when we set up your domain, and we will check them for you if you are unsure.
Does it filter incoming spam too?
Inbound filtering is handled separately by SpamAssassin, which is also included. MailChannels covers what leaves your account.
