That division is what makes reselling workable as a business. You are not doing server administration, and you are not fielding "how do I add an email account" tickets either.

Reseller questions

What is WHM and how is it different from cPanel?

WHM is the administrator's panel. You use it to create, suspend and manage the individual cPanel accounts you sell. Your customers only ever see cPanel; WHM is yours alone.

Can I brand it as my own company?

Yes. cPanel is white-labeled for your clients, you set your own private nameservers, and your customers see your brand rather than ours.

How many cPanel accounts can I create?

Between 10 and 25 depending on the plan. cPanel licenses per account, which is why the limit exists and why the number varies by tier.

Can I set my own prices and packages?

Entirely. You create your own hosting packages in WHM with whatever limits you choose, and you charge whatever you like.

What if one of my clients needs technical help?

You handle your customers, and we handle you. If something is server-level, escalate it to our desk and we will fix it — usually within about ten minutes.

Do I need to know server administration?

No. WHM covers account management without touching the command line, and we look after the server itself: updates, security, backups and monitoring.

Will my renewal price change?

It can. cPanel raises its per-account license price most years, and reseller renewals may change accordingly and with the USD exchange rate. We give notice before any change takes effect.
